About Kristin

Kristin Schultes is a Chicago-based actor, writer, and comedian.  From LA to NYC, she has performed standup nationwide at notable comedy venues including The Comic Strip, Stand Up NY, and The Lincoln Lodge.  She is a graduate of The Second City’s Conservatory program and has extensive training in the art of improvisation from The Annoyance and iO Theater.  Her one-woman show “Angry Letters I Wrote to Boys” is featured in The PIT NYC’s 2025 SOLOCOM Festival.  

Beyond comedy, Kristin continues to act on stage and screen.  International performances include Berlin, Germany (Bebelsplatz Memorial reading); Windsor, Canada (Tony ‘N Tina’s Wedding); and Ireland (Centauri Arts).  At University of Michigan, she honed her craft in over 25 productions: from starring in Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, to performing Brecht classics in German with Deutsches Theater, to originating the role of Wheelchair Wilma in Urinetown.  She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Drama and German Language & Literature.

A Michigan native, Kristin is an accomplished sailor, having completed over 20 yacht races to Mackinac Island on the Great Lakes.
